International Workshop on AI in Public Policy: Confronting New Realities and Challenges

This workshop was hosted in collaboration with the University of San Martin’s CONICET Programa Ciencia y Justicia in Buenos Aires,  delved into the critical role of artificial intelligence in shaping public policies amidst the evolving global landscape. Our involvement underscores our commitment to addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of the Global South as we strive to align AI- driven public policy initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Agenda 2030.

By bringing together experts, policymakers, and academics, we fostered a dialogue that not only confronted the pressing issues of today but also strategically leveraged AI to advance social equity, justice, and sustainable development across diverse regions. We explored how AI can be a catalyst for positive change in public policy, particularly in the context of the Global South.
